Mountain roads, interstate miles.
Flagstaff sits at nearly 7,000 feet under the San Francisco Peaks. Months of snow and ice, cinder roads in Doney Park and Timberline-Fernwood, potholes after the thaw and heavy truck traffic on I-40 all take a toll on tires, suspension and brakes.
We're on the east side of town, a few minutes from I-40 Exit 211 at Winona, so locals skip the cross-town drive and travelers don't have to go looking for help on a bad tire.
